Sorry, the US Coast Guard goes only by passenger count and even babies count as full passengers.
No, but passengers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
On the small boat (for 6 passengers) there is a limit of 1550lbs for passengers and gear.
Yes within limits. Just let your captain know where you want to go and/or anchor, and we will accommodate within reason, weather, and time constraints.
Yes, the boats have ashtrays.
Yes! Our larger boat has a full size bathroom and our smaller boat has a camp toilet with a popup privacy tent. We can also make a pitstop at one of the bars or marinas along the way.
Please no fragile glassware.
Yes, you can bring party decorations. But please give thought to how they are secured. Balloons with tape end up in the river. Better to use string.
All tours start and end at Newport Hooters: 301 Riverboat Row, Newport KY, 41071.
Simply connect your phone via bluetooth to the boat's sound system and listen to your favorites. Or we can play for you any music genre you desire.
Sorry, no swimming / no fishing.
Yes! Our tour operators are fully licensed USCG captains and our boat meets or exceeds all required USCG safety regulations and equipment.
Two weeks prior to activity reservations are fully refundable. Within 2 weeks reservations are non-refundable unless trip insurance is purchased which enables cancellation for any reason up to 24 hours before the activity for a full refund minus the cost of the insurance. If there is severe weather, with or without trip insurance, we will offer a full refund, reschedule, or store credit.
There is no need to purchase trip insurance to guard against the weather. The captain will decide if there is high winds, heavy rain, high water, or thunderstorms and your trip will be rescheduled or refunded. Note that weathermen ALWAYS err on the side of caution and overpredict rain so we always wait till the morning of to make the call.
Yes and no... it is legal to have alcohol on federal waterways, but whoever is operating the vessel (while underway) must be 0.0% blood alcohol or not under the influence of any substance or else it's an OVI. Our captains are USCG licensed and regulated under the DOT (Department of Transportation) which includes random drug testing: https://www.drugfreevessel.com
Yes within limits. Either one large dog or a couple smaller dogs are welcome aboard. Use you own judgement based on their age, training, and temperament. In the waiver we are not liable for their safety and no refunds will be issued for any trip interruptions that occur as a result of their behavior, for example: if the dog is afraid to step onto the boat or has a panic attack and we have to return to dock. For those who have trained monkeys and so on, the same policy holds true for any other type of pet. NOTE: This is one of those policies that if someone abuses it, they will ruin it for everyone else.
